Veterans Day at McHarg

November 12, 2012 · 5 Comments · classroom

Today, we celebrated Veterans Day at McHarg Elementary.  We sang songs for the veterans.  We sang You’re a Grand Old Flag, Eleven-Eleven, and I am Proud to be an American.  We invited parents and grandparents who are veterans to come to our school.  We said the pledge of allegiance and we had a Color Guard who brought the flag in.  We also invited them to a breakfast in the Art room.  Kids who had veteran family go to go to breakfast too.

Ali brought a picture of her dad when he was in the Marines to share.  It has been a fun day!
